Michael Hassini was bailed to appear at Westminster Magisrates Court on the 12th September 2016.

Conviction of possession of the class A drug cocaine carries a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.

Conviction of driving a motor vehicle while over the maximum legal prescribed limit will lead to a driving disqualification of between 12 and 36 months alongside fines, community orders and a possible 26 week prison sentence.

The exact sentence Michael receives if convicted of drink driving will largely depend on the level of alcohol in his system at the time of the offence.

The fact he was involved in a road traffic collision will be classed as an aggravating factor in the case.

ITVBe has suspended him from the show after they discovered that he was arrested and charged with drink driving and possession of cocaine.

A spokesperson for the show stated ‘In view of the charges brought against him, Mike Hassini has been suspended from TOWIE until further notice’.
